Good overall experience and very good quality food. Just got home after having Sunday lunch in 10 Degrees, Caerphilly. Staff are friendly. We arrived on time and had a short wait before being shown to our table. The decor and space here really is lovely. We both chose the roast beef (sirloin) dinner – no starters or desserts. The beef was really good, 2 large slices per meal, came with 2 roast potatoes, 1 (well, 1 piece, not whole) maple syrup carrot, 1 large Yorkshire pudding and gravy. Veg to share was mashed squash, long stem broccoli, cabbage and cauliflower cheese, with a boat of extra gravy. Couldn’t fault anything taste wise, but we both felt there wasn’t quite enough vegetables. At the end of the meal, I was comfortably full, but my husband said he wasn’t at all full. Be aware that they include a optional 10% service charge. I initially forgot that fact and almost left an additional tip, until my husband reminded me. Would we go there again? Me: Yes, for the overall experience and good quality food. My husband: Unlikely, unless in part of a group. He believes it to be a bit pricey (true, but worth it in my opinion for the quality), and not enough vegetables, especially the lack of potatoes, other than the 2 roasties.
